Sergeant Major Greg Keller

Senior Enlisted Leader - POTFF, U.S. Special Operations Command

Sergeant Major Gregory Keller currently serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL) for the Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) for the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at MacDill Air Force Base, FL.  

Prior to becoming the SEL of POTFF, SGM Keller served as an 18B Senior Weapons Sergeant on Special Forces Detachment-Alphas (SFOD-As) in 5th, 19th, and 10th Special Forces Groups (Airborne) (SFG(A)).  

SGM Keller has served in the Special Warfare Training Group as an 18B Weapons Course instructor and at 10th SFG(A) as a Crisis Response Force cell leader, SFOD-A Team Sergeant, Battalion Support Company First Sergeant, and Technical Information Support Company Sergeant Major.  

His awards and decorations include: two Silver Stars, three Bronze Stars, two Purple Hearts, Army Commendation Medal for Valor, two Army Commendation Medals, Navy Commendation Medal, three Army Achievement Medals, Combat Infantryman Badge, Special Forces Tab, Ranger Tab, Jumpmaster, Parachutist Badge, Special Forces Advanced Reconnaissance and Target Analysis and Exploitation Techniques Course.  

SGM Gregory Keller was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He graduated from high school in 2001. After obtaining an associate degree, SGM Keller enlisted in the Army in May of 2003 as an 18X Military Occupational Specialty (MOS). He graduated from the Special Forces Qualification Course in May of 2005 as an 18B, Weapons Sergeant, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in business management from Elizabethtown University in 2012.  

SGM Keller lives with his family in Clearwater Florida. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Virginia Lauren Paul Keller, since 2003. They have two sons, Adam, 15 and Wesley, 14.
