Ms. Deb Woods
Since August 2014, Ms. Deborah Woods has served as the Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) in the Center for Special Operations Forces’ Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (SOF AT&L) at U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. In this capacity, she is responsible for providing rapid and focused development, acquisition, fielding, new equipment training, and sustainment of SOF C4, Military Information Support Operations, and Civil Affairs systems. She oversees 15 acquisition programs with an annual total obligation authority of over $600 million.
Ms. Woods has over 26 years of acquisition experience in the Department of Defense. For over two decades, she has held a variety of positions in SOF AT&L to include Deputy PEO for C4 (2010-2014), Deputy Chief Systems Engineer (2009-2010), Systems Engineer (2005-2009), Deputy Program Manager (1999-2005), and Assistant Program Manager (1994-1999). These positions spanned several offices to include the Science and Technology Directorate.
Prior to arriving at USSOCOM, Ms. Woods worked as an electronics engineer for the U.S. Navy in support of Naval Special Warfare programs and projects to include a one-year assignment to Naval Special Warfare Command in Coronado, California.
Ms. Woods earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida and a Masters Degree in Management from Troy State University.
