Mr. Albert (Tyler) Sanders
Forensic Biologist II,

As a Forensic Biologist at GFJC@FIU, Mr. Sanders provides technical expertise through scientific experiments, instrumentation, materials, and software applications. He represents GFJC as a subject matter expert in next generation sequencing (NGS) and conducts research for experiment design and delivery for forensic biology technical evaluations. Mr. Sanders further provides support for project planning activities. His technical experience includes providing consultation or NGS-based experiment design to research scientists and medical doctors, and he assisted in instruction of Forensic DNA instrumentation to the Canadian Special Forces. He served as a Staff Research Associate at the University of California San Diego from March 2018 to February 2020. Mr. Sanders was an ORISE Fellow while serving as a Research Chemistry Laboratory Analyst at the U. S. Food and Drug Administration during 2016 and 2017. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University in 2015.
