Dr. Erin McFee

President & Founder, Corioli Institute, Professor of Practice at the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies, National Defense University

Dr. Erin K. McFee is the Founder & President of the Corioli Institute, a think-and-do tank dedicated to formerly armed actor (FAA) reintegration with projects in 13 countries. She is also a Professor of Practice at the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies (National Defense University), where she focuses on climate security and FAA reintegration, a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow, and a Fulbright Scholar.

Dr. McFee is a political anthropologist who has published, presented, and been interviewed in a wide range of academic peer-reviewed, popular, and practitioner forums in over 20 countries. Her work focuses on trust-building and psychosocial repair after experiences with armed violence, and she has conducted extensive research and fieldwork living and working with FAAs throughout the Latin American, MENA, East African, and Eastern European regions. She received her Doctorate and Master’s in Comparative Human Development from The University of Chicago, a Master’s in Business Administration from Simmons College, and several Executive Certificates in Climate Change, Leadership and Leading Change (Harvard Kennedy School), and Conflict and Fragility Management (Geneva Graduate Institute).
